Lisbon (again)
Wednesday 22nd June we returned to the boat before setting off for Lisbon, where we were to meet Eduardo Jorge, from Beltrao Coelho, one of the companies I used to correspond with when I was working at NRG International. We went for lunch at an excellent restaurant nearby, although I think Daniel was a little out of place! Eduardo was envious of what we are doing, it was great to meet in person because through email and phone contact you do not get to know people very well. It was a shame I was not able to meet Rui Tribuna who I had also worked with, he was very involved in some work for the Euro 2004 football.
It turned out that various staff from NRGI were coming over to watch the football matches in very brief visits, it seems a shame we were not able to meet any of them over here.
After lunch we got a taxi to the Decathlon in Lisbon (sports superstore) and left the store over 300 Euros poorer! At last I own a pair of rollerblades, Nigel replaced his speargun, and there were various other fishing items. Nigel also got two windsurf masts at a good price from this store through a separate arrangement with the local windsurf instructor, Mario.
We were very tired after that and got back to Cascais as quickly as possible. Before dark Nigel, having found out what one of the locals was catching, used some of his new fishing bits and successfully caught eleven mackerel from the dinghy in 20 minutes!
